"Fort Scott"
John and I traveled to the mid-west targeting the Kansas City market and decided to make a stop at Fort Scott, Kansas where I lived second through fourth grade. My parents owned the Western Auto store then. I had only been back there a few times since I moved, and I heard they had finished rebuilding the old fort.
John and I browsed around the old fort. I went into a two-story building and went upstairs first off. There was the room with the fireplace just like the dream I had just before moving from Fort Scott.
John was downstairs and I yelled at him asking what building this was. He replied that it was the old hospital. I remembered that the old hospital was one story and went downstairs to check the plaque describing the history of the building.
Evidently after the civil war, the upper story had been torn down and it was a one-story building for years. During the restoration though, they had rebuilt the upper story.
This explained my dream being in the upper story of the hospital, fireplace and all.
