"Canada Crossing"
John and I traveled on occasion building our business reaching outside the Bozeman market. We were wanting to expand into the Canadian market as soon as it was opened up. When it did, we headed up to Canada to help friends of mine to start their group.
Not long after crossing the Canadian border, we stopped at a tourist attraction. It had been the location of a ferry that had operated there in times past. The family that operated the ferry had built a homestead near the banks of the river. As they grew, they built a new house a bit bigger than the first right beside them so that there were three houses in a row overlooking the river.
John, Cheri and I were looking at the houses when the Holy Spirit directed me to go a certain direction as he had something he wanted me to see. I informed them I was headed out to see what it was the Lord wanted me to see and they followed.
We took off through the brush as there was no path. We went for a bit and came across a huge flat boat lying in the woods seemingly abandoned. Upon examination, we discovered it was the ferry that the man used to operate. A bit of history for sure.
The trip went well but I’ll never forget how the Lord, knowing my interest in the historical and a passion for antiques, gave us an extra blessing by directing us to be able to see the ferry.
