"Gareena Greena"
An angel stood at the bottom of Pat’s bed during one of our meetings and I was just looking at him to see if he was going to say something. He was standing on what looked like a slate rock and looking intently at me. Then he leaned forward and kind of kneeled down, took his finger and wrote in the rock, “Gareena.”
It was upside down to me, so I shifted my head from left to right and back again to figure out what it said. After I could clearly see the word Gareena, when I shifted the other way, the word was spelled differently, “Greena”. I shifted back and could see “Gareena” then back the other way “Greena”. I had no idea what the word meant.
I informed the group but no one else knew what it meant either. Interesting though, over the next few weeks, some of the others started seeing the word in different places.
One such episode, Julia had asked for prayer at the end of a meeting, and at the end of the prayer the Lord told me to tell her to, “Have fun at the circus”. She had no plans to attend a circus and chuckled a bit at the word.
The next week she reported back how a couple of friends of hers had offered her tickets to the circus if she would take their kids too as they could not attend the event. She did go and after pulling out on the road after the circus and lined up behind other cars waiting, a white feather floated down to her windshield. She looked at it and then noticed that the car in front of her had a license plate that said, “Gareena”. Then she remembered the word to have fun at the circus.
These types of things had gone on for about six months when Kacey came to a meeting telling us that he had asked his Hebrew teacher what “Gareena” or “Greena” meant.
He was told that it was not a Hebrew word, but the letters of the word had the sum-total meaning of, “Becoming the smallest of the smallest and becoming the biggest of the biggest"
To us, this is what Jesus had done, humbled himself even to death on a cross becoming the “King of Kings”.
